By accessing or using Vicinex ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Vicinex is a location-based social platform that helps users:

• Connect with people nearby based on shared interests
• Discover and participate in local events
• Share moments and communicate with friends
• Build meaningful connections in their area

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service
• Users aged 16-17 need parental consent
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security

4. User Accounts and Registration

4.1 Account Creation

• You must provide a valid email address and accurate personal information
• One person may only create one account
• You are responsible for all activity under your account

4.2 Account Security

• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• We are not liable for losses due to compromised accounts

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with GDPR.

5.1 Location Data

• Location sharing is optional and requires explicit consent
• You can withdraw location consent at any time in settings
• Location data is used only for friend discovery and local features

• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, and display your content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service
• You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to share content
• We may remove content that violates these Terms

• Vicinex and our services are protected by intellectual property rights
• You may not use our trademarks or copyrighted material without permission

8. Reporting and Moderation

• Report violations using our in-app reporting system
• We investigate reports and may take action including warnings, suspensions, or bans
• We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion
• Users may appeal moderation decisions

9. Data Rights and Account Deletion

In compliance with GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your data: Request a copy of your personal information
• Correct your data: Update inaccurate information
• Delete your account: Permanently remove your data
• Export your data: Download your information in a portable format

11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content
• We are not responsible for interactions between users

11.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Belgian law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months prior to the incident.

12. Safety and Real-World Meetings

• Exercise caution when meeting people from online
• Meet in public places and inform someone of your plans
• Report suspicious or dangerous behavior immediately
• We are not responsible for offline interactions or meetings

13. Termination

13.1 Termination by You

• You may terminate your account at any time in account settings
• Some information may be retained as required by law

13.2 Termination by Us

• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• We may terminate the Service with reasonable notice

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Informal Resolution

14.2 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes will be resolved in Belgian courts, subject to your rights under EU law.

15. EU Consumer Rights

If you are an EU consumer, you have additional rights under EU consumer protection laws, including:

• Right to withdraw from distance contracts
• Right to legal remedies for faulty digital services
• Protection against unfair contract terms

17. Changes to These Terms
